Dewey is a 5-year-old palomino paint gelding standing 14.1 hands, and he is absolutely striking. A gorgeous bald face, four high white stockings, two blue eyes, and that golden palomino color make him nearly impossible to overlook. He’s classy, unique, and has the kind of presence that gets noticed everywhere he goes. But Dewey is far more than a pretty face. He has been used for all aspects of ranch work and has countless miles outside covering real country. Creeks, rocks, timber, hills, ditches, rough terrain or open country — point him where you want to go and he handles it with confidence. Dewey has also been started on the heel side and has all the ingredients to make an outstanding rope horse. He has a good stop, nice turnaround, and will walk, trot and lope pretty circles in the arena. He’ll pack a flag, cross bridges, walk over tarps and logs, and takes new things in stride. What really separates Dewey from the crowd is his mind and personality. He’s confident, sensible, willing and incredibly people-oriented. He’s the first one to meet you at the gate and genuinely enjoys being around his person. For only five years old, he carries himself with an old-soul ranch horse mentality that is hard to find. Ranch him. Rope on him. Trail ride him. Take him to the arena. Or simply enjoy owning one of the classiest geldings around.
