This is Wizard or Whiz for short. A registered AQHA stunning dappled buckskin gelding. He is just 3 yrs old and 14.3 hands tall. That’s right just 3 yrs old but acts like he is a seasoned 10 year old. He was born and raised on big ranch in New Mexico. Horses like Whiz don’t come up for sale everyday. He is something special.
This well bred gelding is bred to be an outstanding horse. Goes back to the great horse Topsail Whiz. He is at the perfect prime age that is ready to go on and do big things. He really has a bright future ahead of him. He has an excellent foundation in his training. When I say he has been rode a lot. I mean he has been rode everyday the last year on the ranch in New Mexico. He was used everyday and knows what a hard days work is. Been used from sun up till sundown to check calves and fences. He has been used. He has all the fancy bells and whistles. He has been very well trained and trained correctly. He can really spin around and slide to a stop. Flexes and side passes perfectly. He has the buttons. He is so talented and athletic. He would do excellent in the ranch versatility classes or ranch cutting. He is extremely honest and willing to please. Kind hearted. He is naturally quiet and easy going. He packs his head low and level without any fuss or resistance. You would never know he is 3 years old when you ride him.
Whiz is perfect out on the trails and riding through town! He spent most of his short life riding daily in the rocks and mountains on the ranch. He is tough and sure footed. He will cross anything you ask him to. He is not at all spooky or bothered by things like wildlife or common things one might see on a trail ride or in town. Like traffic, bikes, motorcycles, lots of people. He quiet riding anywhere in the pack and he stands tied at the trailer for tacking and untacking like a perfect gentleman. Absolutely no bad habits whatsoever!! He is easy and fun to ride. And yes the 10 yr old little girl rode him out in the woods and town. She had absolutely no trouble riding or handling him.
This gelding has been nothing short of amazing for us. The best part is he has the most amazing, in your pocket personality with an "old soul" disposition! He loves people and attention. Loves kisses and muzzle scratches. He will lay his head on your chest and just close his eyes getting loved on! If ever there was a young horse suited for a novice to ride and show.. this would be him!
Whiz is a super easy keeper. Requires no maintenance of any kind. He can go bare foot or put shoes on him. We keep him barefoot here. You can stall him or turn him out. Doesn’t matter to him.
