Guitar is a handsome and sweet 2022 dun gelding ridden by our whole family. Sired by Belly Stopper, Guitar has natural cow sense and athleticism. He’s also dependable, versatile, easy to ride and just the right size at 14.3 hands.
Guitar has the experience and ability to go in any direction-a gelding with a kind disposition, but is quick footed when you need him to be. He’s easy to handle- bathes, loads and hauls. He has a nice one-hand neck rein, catches his leads and spins correctly. We’ve used him for all aspects of ranch work and he’s been lightly started out of the box (HL)
If he’s being hauled locally for day work, on an 8 hour road trip to brandings in the Nebraska Sandhills or camping and trail rides in the Missouri Ozarks, Guitar handles new environments with ease. He’s good on all types of terrain. Ride him alone or in a group, with dogs, near wildlife and cattle coming from any direction, even in areas with wild horses- he remains calm and gets his job done.
Kind, but not spoiled. Gentle, but not lazy. Speed him up or slow him down- Go move cattle in the pasture, drag a calf in the branding pen, sort yearlings in the lot, back him in the box and rope a steer in the arena and then go trail ride.
He is an honest horse with a bright future ahead.
