Teton is a big, stout, 17.1-hand Belgian gelding with the perfect build and the kindest eyes. He has the highly sought-after draft demeanor of a big, friendly, goofy guy with a ton of personality and a love for attention. He is very well broke to drive and rides like a little horse both English and Western.
Teton is exceptionally broke and has beautiful transitions. He will trot with a simple cluck and lope off with a kiss. He has a big stop and can truly get around like a quarter horse. He has a naturally collected headset and is soft and absolutely FLOATS through his gaits. You can sit his jog all day, and his lope is rocking horse status.
Teton has been ridden out on the trails and is fun, simple, and solid! He absolutely loves the water and is perky-eared and happy to go anywhere and all day long. He is sure-footed and confident and as comfortable as they get. He will cross obstacles, ride out alone, lead or follow, and go at whatever pace is asked of him.
Teton has been ridden under English tack as well and is just as soft and broke in a simple snaffle as he is in a bridle. He has popped over a few fences and has some hops for a big guy! He stands quietly for the mounting block.
Teton is exceptionally broke to drive and has been used for spring work and to bale hay. He has been driven down the roads and through town giving rides. He will step right over the tongue, stands quietly to hitch, backs, and swings gee and haw well. His teammate, Denali, a 7-year-old Belgian gelding, is also available if you wish to acquire both as a team.
Teton has been exposed to anything and everything we can think of. He has seen kids, dogs, cats, goats, donkeys, ponies, side-by-sides, quads, ropes, logs, and all the chaos of everyday life in between. He is not a spooky or reactive horse and does not get bothered by out-of-the-ordinary things. He has an amazing brain and work ethic.
Teton is the sweetest gelding we have on the place. He will meet you at the gate, follow you anywhere, and lay his head in your lap for loves. He truly craves attention and has a personality that is second to none. He has exceptional ground manners and ties, bathes, hauls, etc., like a gentleman. He is good for the farrier.
