Ready to meet one of the most fun little horses I’ve ever had?! Mia is that girl! She JAW DROPPING gorgeous. Everyone that sees her stops to ask about her. She is the most pleasant little mare, has zero sass and is all business once you put that saddle on!
Under saddle, Mia is a rockstar. She is seriously SO MUCH FUN. Put her in a gait and ride it, she moves out incredibly and has a stunning natural headset. She has been ridden in a drill team, and it shows! She is unflappable around other horses, really pays attention to her work, carries a flag and is attentive for her next cue. This is a mare that truly LOVES to work. Western or English she rides exactly the same. Is responsive to leg/seat aids and has an amazing “whoa”.
She is green to jumping, but if I could keep her forever that is EXACTLY what I would be doing with her. She is so brave to the fence, has a ton of scope, and is snappy in the hind end making sure that rail is cleared. She will turn on a dime in the canter and absolutely has the drive to be very competitive. Mia will happily sail over a log in the trail, and rides the same out in the woods alone or with others. This horse is a serious eventing/dressage/fox hunting/endurance prospect. She is seasoned on traveling off property and is the same horse every time. Or, if you just want to be riding the prettiest mare in the barn, she’d be happy to carry that title too!
Mia also drives! Although this is not my speciality, I did have a friend hook up to her and take us for a ride. She was unbelievable! Patient being hooked up, and insanely brave on the road. Cars flying by us at 40mph and she didn’t ever bat an eyelash! If I were to pick up driving as a skill, I’d be happy to have this mare in front of me.
On the ground, this girl is a saint. Lead her with your pinky, tie her to the crossties and brush her for an hour. She will stand there with a droopy lip and thoroughly enjoy her time with you. She stands to be bathed or clipped, and is great for the vet/farrier. She practically self loads and travels like a pro!
