🐴 Rusty is a handsome, athletic, and incredibly fun 10-year-old, 16hh gelding with a great work ethic and a wonderful personality. He has great scope, plenty of energy, and loves to jump. He is a sweet boy who enjoys having a job and is genuinely willing to work for his rider.
Rusty has great potential as an eventer and/or hunter/jumper. He is currently schooling approximately 2’7”–2’11” and has the athleticism and ability to continue progressing. I would love to find someone who wants to develop him further, potentially work toward Novice level, and get out to shows! (though he also enjoys the occasional leisurely trail ride 😉)
🏇 The ideal rider would be an experienced, confident, and consistent rider who enjoys developing a partnership with a horse and wants to continue progressing together. Rusty can test a new rider initially, but is not a horse who bucks or spooks. He needs someone who is comfortable with a forward horse and can support him to the jump. He is NOT a beginner horse, but would be an ideal partner for an ambitious rider looking to develop and progress with a talented horse.
My priority is finding Rusty the right match—someone who will enjoy him, appreciate his potential, and hopefully have fun developing and showing him! 💛
