Cashew ist ein 12-jähriger Connemara-Wallach (ca. 1,44 m), den wir dreieinhalbjährig direkt aus Irland importiert haben. Er ist ein wunderschöner Buckskin mit wunderschönen Augen und den dafür typischen Farbwechseln – im Winter eher grau, im Frühjahr fast braun und im Sommer goldfarben mit heller werdendem Fell. Charakterlich ist Cashew ein ehrliches und sehr feines Pferd ohne böse Unarten. Er ist aufmerksam, denkt mit und reagiert fein auf Hilfen. Kein langweiliges „Mitlaufpferd“, dabei aber immer fair und gut händelbar. Dressurmäßig aktuell etwa auf A-Niveau, mit sehr leicht zu reitenden Seitengängen. Viele Lektionen hat er eher spielerisch gelernt. Vor vier Jahren haben wir auch etwas mit fliegenden Wechseln gearbeitet. Mit besserem Trainings- und Gesundheitszustand wäre hier sicherlich noch mehr möglich. Springen macht ihm besonders Spaß – er ist sehr zielstrebig am Sprung und möchte am liebsten jeden Sprung mitnehmen, den er entdeckt. Aktuell etwa E-Niveau. Im Gelände ist er alleine und in der Gruppe unterwegs. Neue Situationen schaut er sich manchmal erst kurz an, bleibt dabei aber gut händelbar. Er steht seit 8 Wochen wieder ohne Eisen, mit Hufschuhen während der Arbeit hat er damit keine Probleme. Kann aber auch beschlagen werden. Der einzige Grund für die Abgabe sind seine seit einigen Jahren bestehenden Allergie-/Atemwegsprobleme. Diese sind aktuell zwar stabil, führen aber immer wieder dazu, dass er für den regelmäßigen Einsatz in unserer Reitschule nicht zuverlässig belastbar ist. Vor allem vermisst er seine Herde sehr. Gleichzeitig können wir ihm die Haltung, die er gesundheitlich bräuchte, nicht dauerhaft ermöglichen, ohne den Herdenkontakt zu verlieren. Cashew is an 11-year-old Connemara gelding (approximately 14.1 hh), whom we imported directly from Ireland three and a half years ago. He is a beautiful buckskin with striking eyes and the characteristic color changes typical for the breed — more grayish in winter, almost brown in spring, and golden in summer with a lightening coat. Temperamentally, Cashew is an honest and very gentle horse, free of any bad habits. He is attentive, thoughtful, and responds delicately to aids. Not a boring “follow-along” horse, yet always fair and easy to handle. In dressage, he is currently at about A-level, with very easy-to-ride lateral movements. Many of his lessons he has learned more playfully. Four years ago, we also worked a bit on flying changes. With improved training and health, there is certainly potential for more. He particularly enjoys jumping — he is very focused at the jump and eager to take on every obstacle he notices. Currently, he is at about E-level. In the terrain, he is comfortable both alone and in groups. He sometimes takes a moment to observe new situations but remains very manageable. He has been without shoes for 8 weeks now; during work, he wears hoof boots without any issues. He can also be shod if desired. The only reason for his rehoming is his allergy and respiratory issues that have persisted for several years. While currently stable, these problems occasionally prevent him from being reliably fit for regular use in our riding school. Most of all, he misses his herd very much. At the same time, we cannot provide him with the environment he needs for his health without losing herd contact. Under different circumstances, I would never consider giving him up. Priority goes to a suitable home over price.

En extérieur, il se montre à l’aise aussi bien seul qu’en groupe. Il observe parfois brièvement une nouvelle situation, mais reste toujours bien manageable. Il est sans fers depuis huit semaines, et lors du travail, il porte des boots. Il peut aussi être ferré si nécessaire.
