Jaguar is the perfect UNICORN kids pony!! He is a blue roan 4 year old half Gypsy Vanner gelding standing 12.2 hands tall with a thick, sturdy build. He is the ultimate kids’ pony and is exceptionally safe both on the ground and under saddle. Jaguar has an outstanding disposition, he loves people and is always the first to meet you in the pasture. Despite his young age, Jaguar has been extensively hauled to town and trail rides. He has truly been there and done that and handles new experiences with confidence. He is comfortable with tarps, flags, traffic, dogs, and busy town settings, including sidewalks and crowds. He hauls well and eats/drinks in new places. Jaguar has excellent ground manners. He leads, loads, ties quietly, and stands for grooming, bathing, saddling, and bridling. He is very gentle and patient. My 7 year old can catch, groom, saddle, bridle, and ride him independently, even while riding a Segway, without any issues. He is trustworthy with even the smallest riders. Under saddle, Jaguar is versatile and suitable for both Western and English. He would make an excellent short stirrup mount, as he is willing and confident to go over small jumps. He has smooth gaits and is very easy to ride, with a willing, eager-to-please attitude. He walks, trots, and lopes good circles, wants to have a sliding stop, and turns around correctly. Jaguar is a very dependable trail horse, he takes great care of his rider, even on the sketchy steep creek banks/crossings, rough country, and will NOT jump the water. He will calmly ease into and out of water without hesitation. He rides well alone or in a group and is comfortable leading or following on a loose rein. Jaguar has been used for a variety of things including trail riding, hog hunting, working cattle, and dragging logs. Dogs, goats, machinery, and other livestock do not bother him at all. He has also been hauled to rodeos, team ropings, barrel races, and into town, and is always very reliable. In the arena, Jaguar is also good inside the arena. He has been started on barrels, poles, goat tying, and breakaway, he has also been used for lead-line for the little ones! Jaguar is easy to catch on any amount of acres, he will be the first one to you! He requires no special maintenance and is easy to keep. He is up to date on farrier, deworming, and vaccinations. Jaguar is 100% sound and can stay barefoot. He truly is a special pony with an old soul. Horses like him are hard to find!
