Großrahmiger Haflinger-Kaltblut-Wallach

Lionheart is an 11-year-old Haflinger-Coldblood gelding (born 2014, height: 1.63 m). I purchased him as a young five-year-old directly from his breeder. His mother is a Russian draught horse, and his father is a Haflinger. 

Löwi is playful, curious, enjoys movement, and is a real buddy type. He loves to engage in playful tussles with other geldings, even if it means leaving his feed bucket behind. He is very approachable and trusting towards humans, having had no negative experiences.

He is being offered as a backed horse. He is familiar with saddle and rider in all three gaits both in the arena and in the field. He has a fantastic gait, especially in trot, and is very soft to sit. Unfortunately, he lacks routine, as Löwi has been ridden only very rarely. He is therefore completely unspoiled and has plenty of potential for further training.

He responds very well to aids but can become insecure or headstrong if he senses that his handler cannot take the lead. Therefore, Löwi is NOT suitable for beginners or children. However, he is relatively easy to impress and discipline, and he is not malicious. 

In the herd, he is of middle rank but tends to be more dominant with spirited mares. He would therefore do best in a gelding herd. That said, he has also been in mixed herds without issues, as not all mares interest him.

Löwi has only been kept in open stable systems with ample space. Box stall or small paddocks are not suitable for him. In winter, he has 24-hour hay; in summer, 24-hour pasture. He tolerates this well when hoof care and turnout conditions are appropriate. He is healthy, and his teeth are checked annually.
