Registered Miniature Horse “AMW’s Mischief Maker”
You may have already seen him creating smiles all over social media- Porkchop and his tiny riders have a way of stealing hearts wherever they go- and they have gone viral online more than a few times!!
This cute little guy is full of personality, a true favorite everywhere we take him. He’s the kind of pony kids dream about, and parents value so much.
Porkchop is solid, sturdy, and has a thick little build, he looks like a tiny Quarter Horse! He is made to last your cowboy or cowgirl through years of fun.
At 4 years old and standing 40” tall- he’s got his whole life ahead of him, and he’s just the right size for a growing cowboy or cowgirl. Wade is 9 years old, and he has ridden Porkchop everywhere, as well as Cooper who is only 2- who requires an extra bit of patience while he tries to get it all right and ride like a big boy.
Porkchop has been everywhere with us. Even in our house!! Being ponied behind daddy’s horse, down the trails, through the woods and fields, splashing in the creek, out to check deer food plots and to check cows too. He tags along to horse shows and jackpots, and even has won ribbons at the saddle club being the perfect little leadline pony, in barrels, poles and walk-trot. Porkchop is patient, forgiving, and always willing to try whatever the kids dream up. He may have little legs, but he keeps up well!
From patient beginner lessons, to silly cowboy games, chasing “outlaws,” or just plodding quietly down the road, Porkchop takes it all in stride. He doesn’t get worked up by noise, dogs, or other animals, and he’s happy to pack around beginners, even if they’re still learning how to balance, steer, or get their tack on straight. He is a little steady Eddie - and gives kids the kind of safe, confidence-building rides that shape them into horsemen. To find all of this in a pony who is only four years old, is quite unheard of! He is a rare old soul, and worth every penny he brings.
He has been trail ridden extensively, independently- is traffic safe, crosses water, logs, and ditches, and handles hills and rough country with ease. Porkchop may be pony-sized, but he has the heart of a big horse. He has been all over Buffalo River Trail ride, overnight camping as well. He is reliable, quiet and always ready for the next adventure! This little guy has even starred in a kids movie- as one of the bandits ponies!
