Teddy is a 8yr old 13.2h bay welsh x warmblood cross gelding.
ENGLISH EXPERIENCE: This guy is a tried and true all arounder!! He’s been successfully shown in the hunters, jumpers, equitation and cross country!! You point and he tucks those little legs as cute as can be and gives you the best little jump he’s got every time!! No silliness!! No prep required!! This pony loves his job!!
Teddy is also very competitive on the flat!! He’s got phenomenal movement!! Just watch his videos!! The flattest little trot and that canter is amazing!! So incredibly smooth he makes the equitation classes a walk in the park!!
He catches his leads every time and he’s close to being finished on his lead changes!! He’s got very easy transitions up and down. Listens well to voice and responds well to your seat and leg.
This is the pony that will take the kiddos to the next level. He’s quiet and easy enough to show in the cross rails yet talented enough to be competitive in the 2’3-2’6”. He’s been successfully shown already in the 2’3” and schooled courses at home up to 2’9” with more room to move up!
WESTERN EXPERIENCE: If English isn’t your thing.. Teddy is happy to do the western events! He will gladly go to the playdays and do the barrels and poles. He’s very easy to maneuver and very respectful of his riders cues. You can ask him for all the speed then turn him right off and he will drop his head and walk quietly.
He will go trail riding all day long and go anywhere you point him! Teddy will ride in the front, back or middle. Doesn’t mind wildlife, traffic, dogs or goats. He will go up steep hills like a mountain goat and he lovesss to play in the water!! He’s got a nice easy walk, jog, lope and a nice easy little neck rein!
DISPOSITION: Teddy should suit just about any program! From the lesson barns to the show barns. He’s got a wonderful disposition and the coolest in your pocket personality!!
Teddy is the kind of pony you don’t find everyday. From his training and experience to his bubbly barn favorite personality. He meets you at the gate every time and smiles for cookies!
UPKEEP: Teddy is a very easy keeper. He eats alfalfa hay and a 1/2 scoop of a basic pelleted grain twice a day. UTD on all.
Currently in a basic front shoe for jumping support. He has been and can easily go barefoot.
LOADING: Teddy loads and unloads very easily. He hauls great and stands quietly tied to the trailer.
TURNOUT: Teddy can go out alone or in a group setting. He’s been out with mares and geldings without drama.
GROUND MANNERS: Teddy is very quiet on the ground. He stands well for washing, grooming, farrier, saddling and he’s easy to bridle. You can single tie or cross tie Teddy. He’s quiet with dogs and goats running around him as well.
BAD HABITS/VICES: Teddy has NO bad habits or vices. No buck, rear, bolt, bite or kick.
TACK: Teddy rides in anything from a halter and lead rope to a smooth snaffle to a slow twist snaffle. Super easy. Not fussy.
